`Enchanted' Charms With $34 Million PDF Print

Amy Adams inMoviegoers were in the mood for fairy-tale romance and family holidays over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Disney's "Enchanted," with Amy Adams as a princess from an animated realm who is banished to live-action Manhattan, debuted as the top movie with $34.4 million over the three-day weekend and $49 million since opening Wednesday.

Sony Screen Gems' "This Christmas," about a family reuniting for the holiday, premiered in second place, with a $17.9 million weekend and $26.3 million since Wednesday.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Media By Numbers LLC are:
