Moviegoers were in the mood for fairy-tale romance and family holidays over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Disney's "Enchanted," with Amy Adams as a princess from an animated realm who is banished to live-action Manhattan, debuted as the top movie with $34.4 million over the three-day weekend and $49 million since opening Wednesday.

Sony Screen Gems' "This Christmas," about a family reuniting for the holiday, premiered in second place, with a $17.9 million weekend and $26.3 million since Wednesday.
