The rumor that Orlando Bloom has been offered a $40 million paycheck to star in the upcoming "Prince of Persia" trilogy has been shut down by Walt Disney Pictures. The big screen adaptation of the popular video game is currently looking for an actor to take on the lead role, and Bloom will not be him.
Now, LatinoReview has done a bit of digging and found out from multiple sources that an offer has gone out to Jake Gyllenhaal (Day After Tomorrow). Only time will tell whether Gyllenhaal will accept.
"Prince of Persia" follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. The film will be directed by Mike Newell and is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19th, 2009.
