Lindsay Lohan is on the verge of seeing the dead.

In June, the 21-year-old actress will visit a morgue as part of his punishment for drink-driving offence.

"She goes to see boddies. We have 20 to 25 people in the class and is treated like any other individual," Los Angeles County Coroner's Deputy Chief Ed Winter said Friday.

Lohan's attorney, Blair Berk, appeared at a hearing Thursday to report to a judge Lohan on progress toward fulfilling the terms of his plea. The actress was not required to appear.

Lohan has completed his rehabilitation and has served 80 hours of community service with the American Red Cross, announced Friday Berk.

Lohan was arrested twice last year on the DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to drink-driving offence and cocaine charges. She served 84 minutes in the prison, as part of the plea deal.

A program for drivers to show the real-life consequences of drinking and driving forces offenders to spend four hours in the morgue, and four hours in the emergency room of a hospital. Lohan has spent the time necessary to the hospital in December, said Berk.

The morgue visits "include an appointment through the service floor, where autopsies are conducted simultaneously with the processing of the deceased person. They also wind up seeing dead people in our crypt," Winter said.

The coroner's office conducts autopsies of 20 to 30 per day. What they see is "everything that is happening at the time, it is a victim of a homicide or suicide, a traffic accident or a death natural, no doctor, "says Winter." It's to show 'em what is the reality. "
