| ‘Supermax’ to Feature Villains You’ve Never Heard Of |

David S. Goyer, who adapted the story for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, wrote the unconventional comic book adaptation. Justin Marks, the guy who scripted the upcoming Voltron, helped out.
It features the Green Arrow, but instead of plodding through another origin story, it throws him into a maximum security prison with many of his archenemies. Then he has to escape using his cunning tricks and bow skills. It’s Robin Hood meets FOX’s “Prison Break.”
The details of the script are pretty interesting, but fair warning… it spoils huge chunks of the plot. The script review also lists the other inmates in the prison, which ends up being a who’s who of DC villains you’ve never heard of. Merlyn? Tattooed Man? Floronic Man?
What, you didn’t read Batman: Shadow of the Bat #56? The one where Floronic Man puts his decapitated head on the regenerated body of a marijuana plant? Where have you been? Loser.
To be fair, there might be some cameo appearances from more recognizable DC baddies. Lex Luthor, the Riddler, and the Joker all appear in the script. That’s great. I would love to see cameos from Kevin Spacey, Jim Carrey, and…. oh, wait…
Again, the movie hasn’t even received the greenlight yet, so it’s still a ways off from coming to a theater near you. There isn’t a director signed or actors lined up.
Last time DC comics put together a film that created a hybrid comic book world, it was Justice League Mortal, and look how that turned out. Don’t hold your breath.
